Garlock BLUE-GARD 3000 Aramid fibers with a Nitrile Binder.

Description

A compressed non-asbestos gasket sheet of inorganic fibers and high-temperature fillers with an EPDM binder. Often used for water, saturated steam, mild chemicals and mild alkalies.
Garlock® Inorganic fiber gasketing (IFG®) offers excellent thermal stability with minimal weight loss, reduced creep relaxation and improved torque retention provide optimal sealability. Inorganic fibers have excellent thermal and oxidation resistance. Non-oxidizing fibers withstand a continuous operating temperature of up to 550°F (290°C), and maximum spike of 800°F (425°C).

*Minimum recommended assembly stress = 4,800psi. Preferred assembly stress = 6,000-10,000psi. Gasket thickness of 1/16″ strongly preferred. Retorque the bolts/studs prior to pressurizing the assembly. For saturated steam above 150psig or superheated steam, consult Garlock Engineering
